What Does It Mean To Sponsor A Colony?

If you sponsor a hive, you purchase a hive of bees to be tended to and maintained by LSBEES.
You will be permitted to visit your hive during the season.

You can sponsor a colony as an individual, or a collective group

How Much Will It Cost?

The cost is $Call$per hive ($Call$ 1/4 sponsorship)
This money will go toward the purchase of new hive equipment and a colony of honeybees.
It will also help pay for the yearly up-keep of the hive.

What Are The Benefits Of Sponsoring A Hive?

You will get to do something good for bees and the planet.
You will receive a certificate in the mail.
You will receive a newsletter, including photographs of your hive with information and updates.
You will get 12 pounds of honey (3 pounds 1/4 sponsor) from your sponsored hive at the time of the honey harvest.

(if excess honey is not available from your hive honey will be supplied from another colony)
We also place your name on our sponsor list if desired and on the colony to identify your sponsored hive in the bee yard.

Make a donation to help place a new colony.

Honeybees have been in decline over the recent years, both ferral and managed.
